City OKs plans for Ritter Ranch homes

PALMDALE — Progress continued toward the long-anticipated Ritter Ranch housing development Tuesday, when the City Council approved the plans for more than 600 housing units. The project is south of Elizabeth Lake Road and west of the Anaverde master-planned community. The council approved the plans for the second part of the Phase 1 development of Ritter Ranch, which includes 627 single-family residences (135 detached and 492 attached) on 75 acres. The 135 detached homes are proposed initially, with the remainder to be proposed at a later date, Interim Director of Economic and Community Development Megan Taggert said.
